1. ADMIT that you are a sinner bound to Hell and cannot do anything to save yourself out from that imminent eternal torment (Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23; Revelation 21:8).
2.REPENT of all your sins and reject every concept of personal effort to gain the favor of God for salvation. These include: giving, baptism, church membership, following ordinance and sacraments and all sort of good works (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5).
3.RECEIVE the Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST by faith: believing the He died, buried and rose again from the dead for your full salvation; believing that His shed blood can wash away all your sins; believing that He is the fulfillment of the whole Law for your righteousness (John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; Romans 10:4). After you got saved, you are now starting your life as a true Christian. You must grow spiritually through reading His Word, prayer, and by fellowshipping with other saved Christians. 4....JOIN a local congregation of “Saved Christians” by identifying yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ through “believer’s baptism” and then serve and worship God---the Lord and Savior and the Giver of Life (Acts 2:47; Romans 6:3-10; Romans 12:1-2; John 4:24).
Always remember that our eternal salvation is based on what God has done for us---not on what we have done for God. After we got saved the Lord commands us to live a pleasing life to glorify and magnify Him; and in order for others to see God through us (Matthew 5:16; Ephesians 2:10; Titus 3:8).
