The Joy of Giving

A giving person enjoys the blessings of God, for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7). Jesus said, "Give, and it shall be given unto you." (Luke 6:38). This does mean that the generous man is going to be wealthy and healthy, but it does mean that he shall be the happy recipient of many and varied benefits. If you would bring down the blessings of God upon your life, and upon the lives of those around you, then be a generous, cheerful and faithful giver. The more you take, the more you lose; the more you give, the more you gain.Would you be truly and consistently happy?

Would you enjoy the special favour of God? Would you be content? Then give! Give to those in need. Give to the work of God. Give to missions and to missionaries. Give to the poor. Give of your life, your goods, your time, your talents, and your heart. Give without reservation or compulsion. Then you shall be blessed.

It's not only for the Christmas season, but we should practice this throughout the whole pilgrimage of our Christian lives here on earth.
